That's Crafty Challenge (22.1.16)

The challenge over at That's Crafty this week is 'Winter But Not Christmas', so I thought I'd make a tag rather than a card, just for a change after making so many Christmas cards.
I went for wintery colours with some snowflakes.  I used stencils for all of this tag apart from the sentiment which is by StampRite.   I used Distress inks in Dusty Concord and tumbled Glass, and used black Versafine for the trees.
Thanks for looking.

A Bit of Clarity.....

A new stencil and some stamps from Clarity Stamping.  I just love this stencil......
I used just one colour Distress Ink through the stencil, Cracked Pistachio, and just made it lighter in places.  Apart from the butterflies and flower, which are from Inkylicious, the stamps are from the Wee Folk collection, cute aren't they.
I'd like to enter this into the present challenge at Artistic Stamper where the theme is Summer.

Lavinia Challenge

The theme for Junes challenge over on Lavinia Stamps is 'Any Colours You Like', this is my entry for this challenge.
I used the bubble stencil from Clarity Stamps along with 2 colours of Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass and Tea Dye, which were applied with sponges.  All black stamping was done with Versafine.  I've left the sentiment off till I need to use the card.

Enchanting Snowflakes

It may be a bit early for some, but I like to make my Christmas cards all year round.  This one features a stamp from Visible Image - Enchanting Snowflakes.

I used Distress Inks for the backgroun, Lemonade and Festive Berries, both applied and blended with sponges.  I then used a snowflake stencil and inked through with the same inks.  I used Versamark to stamp the snowflakes and embossed with white embossing powder.
I cut the snowflake on my Cameo, added the same inks and finished it off with a bit of sparkle and a gem.  The sentiment tag was also make on my Cameo.

Happy Little Stampers (28.4)

The theme for the present challenge over on Happy Little Stampers is 'Stenciling'.

I inked through a stencil with Adirondack 'Lettuce', then stamped the image in black Versafine.  The stamp is from Bee Crafty, inspired by Banksy.

Brusho Tags

When I was playing with the Brushos at first, I used some small tags, here's 2 that I stamped and stenciled on.

No idea which colours I used here, was too happy sprinkling and spraying..... lol.  I used a stencil for the image by Crafters Workshop and it's called Mini Urban Landscape.  I inked through the stencil with Black Soot Distress Ink, the NYC was stamped with alphabet stamps from my Aunty's.

First I stamped with clear embossing powder onto the white tag, heat embossed it, then sprinkled black Brusho on the bottom half, love how it resists the embossing.  The birds were simply stamped with black Versafine.  All stamps are from Inkylicious.

Micro Beads

I've been playing with texture paste and microbeads again, I just love this technique.
I used a stencil from Imagination Crafts and inked through it with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers.

Give this techniques a try, I'm sure you'll love it too.

Micro Beads & Texture Paste

I've been blog hopping for the last couple of weeks and came across Eileen's blog.  I'd seen Eileens blog a while ago, but just couldn't remember the name of it, so couldn't find it again.  Well how lucky was I to stumble upon it again, via Lavinia Stamps.  Well now it's well and truely bookmarked..... lol.  Eileens work is just gorgeous and there's so much inspiration there, so thank you Eileen.

Anyway, I came across this technique while looking at Eileens blog and thought I'd give it a go.
I inked through the stencil (from Imagination Crafts) with distress inks and dried it off a little with the heat gun.  Then placed the stencil back over the image, taped it around the edges to keep it secure, and spread translucent texture paste through the stencil, carefully removed the stencil and sprinkled micro beads all over it, just like we do glitter.  I did this over a plastic container cos oh do these little beads bounce! lol  Once dry I made it into a card, and this is the end result.  Such a shame I just couldn't get a brilliant picture of the beads, it really is lovely.

I really enjoyed doing this, so will be doing it again.
I'd like to enter this card into the present challenge over on Imagination Crafts where the theme is 'Imagination In Bloom'.  The challenge runs till 31st March.
