Die Cut Dreams #31

This weeks challenge over on Die Cut Dreams is 'Recycle'. I decided to use and old PC game disk which no longer played on the updated computer, we've had it for years...... lol, and made a hanger.

The backing paper is from Pink Petticoat, the die cut is one of Nellies dies, I used 2 in different sizes to make the frame and the image is from the Pixie Chicks set from Charmed Cards & Gifts. She's coloured with ProMarkers. Then I added some sparkle to her wings.

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge Blog

As I mentioned in my last post, I've now taken over I ♥ ProMarkers challenge blog. I'm in the process of making some small changes, first one being making it more regular, but I'm not certain how often yet...... lol. I'm just waiting to hear from the DT girls for their thoughts. The changes will start as from 10th February, this gives the present challenge it's full month to run.

Another thing is, sponsors from some great online crafts shops, including Joanna Sheen, Simon Says Stamp, The Cutting Cafe, Digital Delights, Die Cut Dreams and Willow Designs.

The DT and myself would be grateful if you would pop over and join us some time.

I ♥ ProMarkers #7

The first challenge of the year over on I ♥ ProMarkers has started. This will be Sharon's last one as she'd decided to step down running this challenge blog, to devote more time to Willow Designs and her magazine work, I wish her lots of good luck in her future ventures. Sharon asked me if I would like to take it over and of course I said yes, I'd love to do it. So I've been busy making up new sketches for forthcoming challenges.
Anyway here's my card for this months challenge. Why not pop over and join us with our challenges.

Just Magnolia Monthly & Sketch Saturday

The monthly challenge over on Just Magnolia is Paper Pleating. This is something new for me so I was itching to give it a go. I'm combining this one with this weeks challenge over on Sketch Saturday, where, as usual, there's a lovely sketch to follow.
I'm sure I've seen a challenge somewhere where the theme is 'Love' too, but I can't find it!
Here's my card

I coloured the image with the usual PM's. The flowers were cut using the Retro Flower punch. I printed the sentiment of the computer and the papers are by Pink Petticoat.

Close up of the paper pleating.

Die Cut Dreams #30

This weeks theme over on Die Cut Dreams, is Coffee & Cream, lovely colours don't you think? This weeks prize is to be GDT for the last 2 weeks of January, how good is that!
Here's my DT card, sorry the pictures not too good, but the lighting has been terrible lately.I needed to make a card for my nephew who was 15 last week, and like most people, I find male cards quite difficult to do. The embossing was done using a cuttle bug embossing folder on pearlised card but it doesn't show up too good on the picture. The text is a set of stamps for Dimention Fourth.
So why not pop over and join us in this weeks challenge.
I'm also entering this card is the present challenge at Quixotic where the challenge is Hot Chocolate and also at Simon Says Stamp where the challenge is also Hot Chocolate.

A4 Retirement Card

This is the first time I've made an A4 size card and I'm not sure if I like doing them this big, there's so much space to fill...... lol. I was provided with the black and white photo and was asked to add the works company logo to the corners. I printed these of on the computer a couple of times for each and decoupaged them. I followed Rosies sketch from Let's Get Stamping on Craftbubble.

2nd GDT Spot on Anyone for Anya

Well this weeks is my last week as GDT over on Anyone for Anya. I've really enjoyed my 2 weeks there and really need to get more of these stamps. So thanks Dawny for the chance to join you and your team for the last 2 weeks.
This weeks challenge is 'Anything Goes' so the choice is completely yours, maybe it's a good time to show off any new goodies Santa might've brought you.
Here's my card.I coloured the image with the usual PM's and used one of my new Neillie die cuts to mount the image onto.

I made the flower myself using 2 sizes of the Retro Flower punch.

Die Cut Dreams #29

The first challenge of the year over on Die Cut Dreams, is very appropriatly 'Back To School' I really struggled to come up with something for my DT card as I couldn't find anything suitable for this one. I managed to find this Edwin stamped image which was kindly sent to me by on online friend a while ago, how lucky was that.I coloured the image with ProMarkers, the papers were odments in my bit's and bobs box and the stars I bought a few years ago.

First Challenge on LGS for 2010

This week we have a new DT member over on Let's Get Stamping on Craftbubble. Katie decided to step down and persue other things, so we now have Rosie along with Lauren and myself. Today is Rosies first time to host our weekly challenge and has come up with a great sketch and her twist is 'Get your knickers in a twist'....... lol. A brilliant first challenge don't you think, she certainly got me thinking. So off I went to hunt in my stamp box and came across a lace background stamp I've had for a couple of years, but never used! I thought it was pefect to use for the lacey background.
I was sent this image by a friend a while ago now and thought it fit perfectly for my best friends birthday on the 12th January, as she rides a bike to and from work every day. I coloured the image with ProMarkers

I made the flowers using a sizzix layered flower die, the leaves are cut with a punch.

Tinkerbell Birthday Cake

This cake was made a girl who's birthday is today. I didn't have time to make Tinkerbell with icing so I used a stamped image stamped up a few times and decoupaged it, made it into a plaque, which Faye can take off and keep.

Birthday Card for my Brother In Law

It's my lovely BIL's birthday tomorrow, this is his card. It's a nice simple card embossed with a cuttlebug enbossing folder and a bit of simple matting and layering, a nice male card I think.
