First Steps into Art Journaling......

I've always said I don't see the point of journaling........ now I'm dabbling in it....... never say never eh!

I started of just testing some paint dabbers I bought recently, oh it's so much fun making splats with them...... lol.  So then I carried on and added more with ink splat stamps and finished of with a bit of random stamping with a Tim Holtz stamps.  I printed the wording of and cut it up.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

I'm so in love with this place after spending our 30th wedding anniversary there, back in September, and I'm not a city person!  Now I can't wait to go back.......

I cut Lady Liberty, the skyline and the I♥NY shapes on my Cameo, which I then painted with acrylic paints. I made my own texture paste (pva glue and talc) and added it through a stencil.  I then added red and blue ink sprays, stamped randomly.

Individual looks of each page.

Am I getting the hang of art journaling or what.  Seems a bit like scrapbooking to me..... lol.

Harlequin Background

Simple card here.  I stamped the background with a Harlequin stamp, then stamped the dandelions over that.  All stamps are from Inkylicious.  I cut the card shape with a die from Tattered Lace.

Lavinia Stamps

The theme for March's challenge over on Lavinia Stamps is 'Add Some Gems'.

The stamp used is of course one of Lavinias, and I used Brushos to make the background.  The sentiment was cut with a die by Tattered Lace.

More Brushos.....

Just one colour used for this one, but I can't remember which one of the blues it is......

I sprayed the water on the card first then sprinkled the Brushos.  Stamps used are from Inkylicious and the raindrops are from Ryn, all stamped in black Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Spray Starch and Brushos

I've been playing with Brushos again, this time with spray starch and cling film. Love the effect this creates.

First I sprayed the card with the starch, then sprinkled the Brushos onto it, next I covered it with cling film, moving it around to create creases etc.  Give it about 30 minutes, then remove the cling film.  Once it was completely dry I stamped into it with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

I'd like to enter this card into the present challenge at
