Winter Wonderland

It's Friday and that means a new challenge has started over on Winter Wonderland where the theme is 'No Red or Green'.  Kenny K is one of our sponsor for this one with a prize of 3 digi stamps.  Our other sponsor is The Hobby House with a prize of £10 worth of goodies.

Here's my DT card.

This image is called Mistletoe and is of course one of Kenny K's fab images.  I used ProMarkers to colour this image, emblossed the background, and used a MS punch for the snowflake border.

ILPM's #221

Time for a new challenge over on I ♥ ProMarkers where the theme is 'Flowers', so we need to see flowers on your project.
Our sponsor for this one is Marianne Dies.

Here's my DT card.

I used a digi image from Crafts & Me for this card, the flower was cut with a Spellbinders die and the fern a Tattered Lace die.

I've been playing again.......

I bought some small MDF plaques a few weeks ago, and never got round to doing anything with them.  So at the weekend, since I was up to date with DT stuff, I thought I'll have a play, and this is what I came up with.......

I love Dandelions, like alot of people, so I just knew I had to use them for this. Everything was cut on my Cameo, the section of the clock face  was a left over bit from a previous project.
Here's a few more pics from different angles...... lol.

Hope you like......

ILPM's #220 -

It's time for a new challenge over on I ♥ ProMarkers and the theme is 'Anything Goes'.
Our sponsor is Visible Image with a lovely prize of a selection of stamps.

Here's my DT card.

I used a digi image by Sherri Baldy, but I think I've printed it out too small, didn't really notice till I started putting the card together......
The BP's are from Nitwits and the sentiment was a little pressie from a friend.

Winter Wonderland

A new challenge has just started over on Winter Wonderland where the theme is 'Holly and/or Ivy.  Our sponsor is Crafty Ribbons with a £10 voucher to spend in their online store.

Here's my DT card.

This card is white believe it or not...... lol, just couldn't get a decent picture no matter how many times I tried.  I used a stamp from Lily of the Valley and I coloured it with Spectrum Noir pencils.

I do like these pencils and will be trying them with my ProMarkers soon.

GDT for Chocolate Baroque

A couple of months ago I applied for a DT position at Chocolate Baroque, their stamps are just fab.  You can see all the great stamps available HERE. As expected they had lots of applicants and obviously can't take everyone on board.  So those that were shortlisted were asked to be a GDT for them.  I was thrilled to bits when Glenda emailed me to tell me this.  Anyway this is the card I made for the GDT spot.

The stamps I used are called October Fairy.  I just had to have these stamps since I'm an October baby!

I'm just so sorry that I couldn't get a better photo, acetate is a nightmare to get a good picture of.....  Below is the tutorial on how I made this card.  Any questions please feel free to email me.

Materials used.
Acetate
Double sided adhesive sheet
Gilding Flakes
October Fairy Stamp
Black ink pad
6x6 square card blank
Card for matt and layering

1.  Cut a piece of double sided adhesive sheet a little bigger than the stamp you'll be using and peel away one side of the protective backing and stamp your image onto the sticky side. You can stamp onto the acetate if you prefer, but I prefer to stamp onto the sticky side of the sheet as there's less chance of slipping with the stamp.

2.  Place your acetate over the adhesive sheet and over the stamped image,  press it down firmly and trim to required size.

3.  Peel away the other side of the protective backing on the double sided adhesive sheet and cover with gilding flakes.  Gently rub off the excess flakes .  Your topper is now ready to add to your card.

4.  Take the card blank and cut your matt and layering card to the required sizes.

5.  Stamp and heat emboss the left hand side using another of the stamps from the set.  Add the acetate topper and you're done.

ILPM's #218

Ooooh it seems such a long time since I last made a card for this one, but now I'm back and happy to say so is my mojo..... lol.
This weeks challenge over on I ♥ ProMarkers is all about Metal/Metalic, so we need to see something metalic or metal looking on your projects.  I used Silver embossing powder on the number 21 for mine.  Our sponsor for this one is Sherri Baldy.

I used one of Sherri's Besties digi images for this card, I really do enjoy colouring these and I think they always make a nice card.  The BP is from Nitwits.

My Latest Canvas

I started this canvas about 6 weeks ago, but then due to family matters I've not been able to finish it or been in the mood to do it either.  I finally finished it today.  This one used the Paper Blocking Technique.

I made the flowers myself cutting them on my Cameo then putting together using my hot glue gun.  I also cut the text on my Cameo.  The flourishes we cut using a Sizzix Bigz die.  I made my own texture paste with cornflower and pva glue, then applied it through a stencil, once dry I dusted it with mica powder.

The flowers with a touch of Distress Ink and the flourishes with a bit of gold heat embossing.
I'm finding doing canvases very addictive, I'm already thinking about my next one..... lol.

Create Canvass

I took these photo's of my second canvass a month or so ago, but with everything that's gone on I never had time to upload them.  I'm really enjoying making these, it's lovely seeing it all come together no matter what you decide to add to it.  I came across this technique,  over on Eileen's fab blog, she is one talented lady!  It's quite picture heavy, but I wanted to show you as much as I could.

All of the pieces were cut on my Cameo from cereal boxes.  The embossed background was made using various embossing folders. The clock is my favourite piece.  I used Inca Gold paints to colour the whole canvass in various colours.

I'm Back........

I'm sorry I've not been around for a few weeks but sadly, my only Aunty sadly passed away on 13th April after spending a couple of weeks in hospital.  We knew it was really only a matter of time, but it's still a shock when it happens.  She passed away very peacefully, with my sister and niece by her side.  As my Aunty had never been married or had children, my sister, myself and my Aunty's very good friend have had to sort everything out and empty her house.  It's been very hard to do, both emotionally and physically but it has to be done.  We have so many happy memories of my Aunty, she was always good fun and enjoyed a good laugh.  She really was the best Aunty anyone could've wished for, and I'm so glad she was my Aunty.

Now it's time for us to get back to some normality and I'm hoping to get back to my cards this weekend.  I started a canvass 3 weeks ago, which was naturally put on hold, I've been and done a little bit more to it tonight, so that's a good sign isn't it..... lol.
