DT card for Just Inklined

I just love this image, ok, I know I say that about them all..... lol.  I had a commission for 60th Anniversary card, and didn't really know what to do for it.  I wanted to keep it quite plain, but eye catching.  I didn't intend using this image for this card, well that was until I'd coloured it up and found some matching BP.  Once I put them together I thought it was just perfect.
The image is called 'Hand Tied Lilies' and is available to buy and download HERE.

I know Cala Lilies were a popular wedding flower years ago, my mam carried them at her wedding, and that would've been  62 years ago, so maybe this lady carried them at her wedding too.
The BP is from Raspberry Road, their BP's are so pretty, and soft, not too in your face.... lol.
I added the clear gems for the Diamond connection.

A closer look at the image, coloured with ProMarkers.
Here's the colours I used -
Mustard & Ivory
Lime Zest & Marsh Green
Baby Pink & Cocktail Pink

New from La Pashe

Just thought I'd let you know about some new papers and card from La Pashe.  It comes in various gsm's which makes it perfect for all your printing needs.  Honestly if feels so smooth it's like silk, you really need to try some. It's very reasonably priced too, so ideal in all ways!

Edited to say -
The 250 gsm card is perfect for colouring with ProMarkers.  Colours blend lovely and there's no bleed either.  I've just coloured an image tonight using both, so thought I'd add it to this post.

Just Inklined To Hop

Time for our hop over on Just Inklined.  It's seems ages since the last one, but that's because we didn't have one at the beginning of January.   For this one we all used the  'Out of the Box' technique, which basically means a part of the image is cut separately so that is extends past the shape of the die used to cut the image out.

Here's my DT card.

The feather on her hat are the 'Out of the Box' part, though they don't extend very much, my image should've been a bit bigger really.
The BP's are  from DCWV Linen Closet stack.  I love this stack, so have hardly used any of it.....and I've had it a couple of years..... lol.  The image, which is called 'Elizabeth, you can buy and download HERE, isn't she lovely.  I don't know why I didn't use it before now..... lol.  I think she looks very classy!  I used a Marianne die for the corners and the bead pins, I made myself.  Pearls are from Mei Flower and the ribbon from my stash.

Closer look at the image, coloured with ProMarkers.
Colours used are:
Skin - Ivory, Blush & Dusky Pink
Hair - Tan & Burnt Sienna
Clothes - Satin, Morning Mist, Tan, Mustard, Warm Grey 1, Soft Aqua, Aquamarine & Cool Aqua

Now, remember there are 2 spot prizes up for grabs, the winners will be chosen from the comments left on the DT girls blogs.  If you're following the hop, you should've arrived here from Lori's blog and I'm the last one in the hop, but if you're lost you can go to Joyce's blog to start again.... lol.

Winter Wonderland Goes Monochrome

This weeks theme over on Winter Wonderland is 'Monochrome', which basically means you need to use shades of just one colour.  I love monochrome cards!  We have 2 sponsors for this one, which means 2 lucky winners.  Our sponsors are J & C Creations with a £10 voucher and Marianne Designs who also have a £10 voucher up for grabs.

No colouring on this one.  I cut the bauble on my Cameo .  The embossing was done using an embossing folder, and the sentiment was made by my good friend Judy.
