Something a bit different.......

I was asked by a friends daughter if I could make a couple of cards which will be given to two ladies asking them to be Godmother to Baby Chloe.  I thought that was such a nice thing to do, and this is what I came up with.

These are both 8x8 cards.  I can never get decent photo's when the card used is pearlescent.

And this is the verse on the inside.

70th Birthday

I was asked to made a special card for a 70th Birthday, so I decided to have a play on my cameo and this is what I came up with.  I made the cutting file for the numbers myself, with the help of You Tube.  I could never figure out how to put the loops around the figure, but now I know..... lol.

The BP is from Bearly Mine.

Not bad is it for my first time  making loops..... lol.

Getting Inky......

For this card I used a stamp set from Debbi Moore Designs called 'Botanical Stamp 3'.   I used Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Antique Linen and Memento Rich Cocoa.  The lace is from my stash and the ribbon and pearls from Mei Flower.

Chocolate Baroque Edge Stamps

I'm loving getting inky, though I still don't like the dirty hands bit..... lol.  Hubby is bringing me some rubber gloves home from work tomorrow night.... lol.
Anyway, I used Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to create the background, them stamped the image with black Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The stamps are from the Landscape Edges set by Chocolate Baroque.

I'd like to enter this card into the present challenges at Artistic Stamper  where the theme is 'Use Distress'.

Just Inklined

Time for me to show you another card using a digi image from Just Inklined.  This image is called Lazy Daisy and you can buy and download it HERE.

I used ProMarkers to colour the image and also did a bit of masking and inking to make the coloured circle.

Leafy Vines from Hero Arts

For this stamp I used just one Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers and just blended it so it was lighter towards the right hand side of the card.  I stamped the Leafy Vines with Versamark embossing ink, sprinkled white embossing powder over it, then gave it a blast with the heat gun.

Lavinia Stamps Challenge

Just this week I came across the Lavinia Stamps Challenge Blog, so thought I'd get inky and enter their present challenge with is 'Blue or Lilac or Both'.

This 'Fairy Wishes' stamp is the first stamp I ever bought from Lavinia and I must admit, at first I didn't know what to do with it...... lol.  But now I just love this style of stamping and getting inky, don't like the dirty hands though..... lol.  I used Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord Distress Inks to create the background, then I stamped all the black with Versamark.  Of course all stamps used are from Lavinia.

Getting Inky......

My mojo seems to have up and left me at the moment, so I've been playing with inks for a change hoping it gets me in the mood for card making again.  I made 3 cards yesterday so thought I'd show you them.

I used a stamp from Stamping Up for this one, it's from the Baroque Motifs set (had them for years!) First I used Dusty Concord and Tumbled Glass distress inks and just covered the white linen card stock till I was happy with it.  I've discovered that stamping on linen card isn't the best...... lol.  I then inked up the largest stamp in the set with black Versamark and sprinkled clear embossing powder over the images, and gave it a blast with the heat gun.  I also inked the backing card with Dusty Concord.

I used Worn Lipstick and Shabby Shutters distress inks and the same stamp for this one.  Again using Versamark black and clear embossing powder.

I used the Rose Stem  stamp from Chocolate Baroque for this one.  I used Black Soot distress ink to stamp with, then just pulled some of the ink into the image with a damp paintbrush.

A closer look at the image, to show just how lovely this stamp is.  The script is so fine, and clear enough to read.
