Hubby's Birthday Card

I recently bought some new stamps from Stampscape Stamps and finally got round to trying them out.  All I can say is, I love them!
When I make this kind of card, I always stamp in black Versafine and heat emboss using clear embossing powder, that way when the coloured inks are added there's no smudging.  I wasn't sure if that technique would work with these stamps as they're so fine, but it worked brilliantly.

If you love stamping, and haven't tried these stamps yet, then you must.  I felt a bit unsure of them at first, but the really are lovely to work with, and stamp lovely with very little pressure.

I coloured the log cabin with ProMarkers once I'd finished the inking.  I used Distress Inks and Adirondaks with blending brushes.

Christmas Card #3

3 down, still lots to go...... lol.  This is my Christmas card for last week.  My niece and I meet up every Saturday night to chat and craft.  So this year we've set ourselves a challenge to make 1 Christmas card a week.  We're doing well up to now........ well we're only 3 weeks into the challenge..... lol.  The theme for this week was 'A Traditional Christmas Card'.

I love this stamp which is part of a 2 stamp set from Stampin Up.  Not even sure that they still make it as I've had it quite a few years now.  Nice and easy this one, a bit of sparkle, matt and layering, and that's it.

Winter Wonderland - Just One Designer Paper

Oh, I'm late posting my DT card for Winter Wonderland......  Our theme is 'Just One Designer Paper, and our sponsor is All Dressed Up, who have 2 digi image up for grabs for the lucky winner.

Here's my DT card.

The image is of course from our sponsor and coloured with ProMarkers.  All the dies used are by Sue Wilson.  The bp is from a DCWV paper stack, can't remember which one though, sorry.

2nd Christmas Card of the Year.....

2 Christmas card down, so many more to go...... lol.  For this one I used Sue Wilson cutting dies for all of it.  The background was cut with dies from the New York Collection, Union Square. I love these dies, the Poinsettia are also dies by Sue Wilson.

Using the mirri card make the flower look like it's made from metal.

First Christmas Card for 2015

I meet up with my neice every Saturday night, she's a crafter too, so we've set a challenge for us both to make a Christmas card every Saturday night!  We've each written down themes, so pick one out and follow the theme to make our cards.  This weeks theme was Bells & Bows.  This will be a big help if we can keep it up..... lol.

I cut the centre piece on my Cameo, then used a die by Sue Wilson, New York Background, to cut one layer, then I used the same die and embossed another layer, then attached them together, matt and layered and added gems to finish off.

Lavinia Stamps

This months challenge over on Lavinia Stamps is 'Anything Goes'.  I love their stamps so thought I'd join in, something I haven't done for a long time.

I used the Flower Fairy stamp for this one, heat embossed her and just added glitter to her wings.  The inking was done with Adirondack inks.  I can't remember the name of the make of the oval die, but the flowers and border die are by Sue Wilson.  I used the Tied Together embossing folder for the backing.

A little bit purple..........

Here's my latest Canvas, I think I've got a serious addiction going on here..... lol.  I can't help but think of my friend KathyK when I look at this one, she's The Purple Princess....... lol.

The flowers started of bright orange and there's a mixture of buttons, beads, bottle caps, screws here.  Honestly, anything really does go on these projects, once you start adding your ink, paints etc, the transformation is amazing.  I'll do a step by step for my next one, which is going to be based on New York, since we spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary there last September, love the place.

Winter Wonderland - Things With Wings

Over on Winter Wonderland we're still in the 'Doesn't have to be Christmas' mode and this weeks theme is 'Things With Wings'.

Our sponsor for this one is Stamp & Create with a fab £20 voucher up for grabs for the lucky challenge winner.

Here's my DT card.

The fence and Pheasant is all one stamp, and the trees at the side are both  from Lavinia Stamps  The grasses at the bottom is a stamp from Inkylicious.  I used a mix of Distress and Adirondack inks for the background.

Getting Inky

I went to a workshop back in October which was hosted by the fab Ania Dabrowska (Finnabair).  I had a photo left over from that workshop so thought I'd use it on this canvas.

This is my dearly loved and missed Mam and Dad on their wedding day on 25th March 1950.  I've kept this quite feminine, so plenty of flowers.  The roses started out Orange and the little Calla Lilies were gold which I made a long time ago with Fimo.  Mam carried Calla's in her bouquet, so thought it nice to use them for this project.

Thanks for looking xx
