This weeks challenge on Digi Doodle Shops Best is ' Anything Goes', so the choice is yours and I'm sure you can come up with a great card to join in our challenge. This week we're being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and you could be in with the chance of winning a $15 voucher to spend in their online shop.
Here's my DT card.I used 'Sticky Diddle the Hedgehog', buy him here, and coloured him with ProMarkers. The papers are from my stash which I've had for a long time, so have no idea who the designer is.... sorry. I made the flowers myself.
Why not pop over and join in with this weeks challenge, we'd love to see you.

Delightful Sketches & Challenges

It's time for a new challenge over on Delightful Sketches & Challenges. For this one the challenge is to use punches on your project.
Here's my DT card. For my image I used Teapot Pippin, isn't he cute! and you can buy him here. I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and the flowers were cut using the Retro Flower Punch and the greenery using a Gill punch. The sentiment is a stamp and the oval is cut with a Stampin Up punch. I ran the pink card through a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Die Cut Dreams #45

It's Monday, so that means it's time for another challenge over on Die Cut Dreams. This weeks challenge is 'Make Your Own Flowers'.
I love making my own flowers as you can match them perfectly with your project. I've put together a simple tutorial on how I make some of my flowers. I came across a tutorial on Micheles blog quite a while ago and found she also makes them in a simlar way.
I've been making sugar flowers for wedding cakes for a number of years and it seemed only natural to make them in paper too, afterall, they're made in much the same way.
Here's my card. (second attempt....lol)The peach coloured flowers are actually pink! but they've turned out peachy on the photo. I used ProMarkers to colour them and a sizzix die for the petals and a punch for the greenery. I ran the backing card though the Big Shot using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and some ink for a bit of distressing round the edge. The sentiment is a stamp and it's cut with one of the Fancy Tags dies from Spellbinder.
Why not pop over and show us your handmade flowers.

Let's Get Stamping on Craftbubble

This week we've got our ex-DT member Katie as our host, we thought it would be a nice surprise for the rest of the girls on the forum, as we don't see much of Katie now, as she's busy with other things. She provided us with a lovely sketch and a little twist of butterflies. Well I don't mind butterflies on card, but I'm terrified of them in real life, along with birds!
Here's my card.I got this stamp in a set from The Stamp Man a few weeks ago at a craft fayre, and I've never had time to use it, so this is it's first outing.I heat embossed the image with black sparkle and didn't think it needed any colour, so I stuck to the monochrome theme. I do intend playing with this image with colour though, sometime....
The flowers, which I think look a bit lost...... lol were cut with 2 sizes of the retro flower punch. The backing papers are from Pink Petticoat.
I think this card has a 60's retro feel to it, well I am a child of the 60's...... lol
