Alcohol Inks.........

.......... have been brought out from hiding...... lol  And it's all thanks to a Facebook friend,  Jane Clempson.  She was showing cards she made using the Alcohol Inks and Yupo card/paper, and has been kind enough to share.  Soon as I saw it I thought I had to brush the dust of my Alcohol Inks and give it a go.  I love making backgrounds and could sit making them all day!..... lol.
This was made by just dripping the ink on the card and blowing it around with a spritzer.  As Jane did, I then die cut the flower from the piece and also cut one from a piece of white funky foam.  Then stuck the paper to the foam and replaced in the the space left on the inky piece.  Love the effect this gives.  Massive thanks to Jane for this technique.
Close up of the die cut.
Thanks for looking.

Altenew & Water Colouring

I made this card a few weeks ago, but never got round to uploading it, due to other things getting in the way...... lol  I used the outline stamp from the Beautiful Day stamp set and used water colours to colour them.  The sentiment is a stamp from Inkylicious, my favourite at the moment.
Thanks for looking.

A Bit of Book Folding

I made this for my hubby's workmates baby girls Christening.  It's my first 2 liner pattern too, which took me ages to get my head around how to do it........ but I got there eventually with the help of a member of a Book Folding group on Facebook.  This took ages to fold, as it's the same as doing 2 books at the same time.  I think I could've got away with fewer folds too, but as I need the book for it's height, I didn't have any choice really.

I did the foiling with a lazer printer printer and laminator.

Background with Country View Crafts

I've been getting inky in my little journal.  I love making backgrounds, you never ever get 2 the same, and it's a great chance to go mad with inks...... lol
I used various ink sprays, stamps, bottle tops and an old store card to create the patterns for the background.  The text is one big stamp by Art Journey, which I cut up.
I'm entering the present challenge on Country View Crafts with this one, where the theme is Backgrounds.

Have a Wonderful Day!

I've been playing with water colour paints and stamps from Altenew.  The stamps are from the Peony Bouquet set.  I stamped onto water colour card with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I used Gansai Tambi water colours in the following shades - Pale Aqua, Blue, Evergreen, Mid Green and a light brushing of Silver over all the petals.  I finished off with a sentiment stamp I love, from Inkylicious.

Just a Bit Left Over....

I had this piece of coloured up card left over from my daughters card, so thought it was too good to waste.  So I got my Lavinia stamps out and came up with this.
