Today......

........would have been my parents 63rd wedding anniversary, they were married for almost 50 years when my Dad died in 1999.  Miss you both so much, always loved and never forgoton.

Today also marks 2 years since my lovely sister in law, Lynn, lost her long hard battle with breast cancer.  Lynn was  more like a 3rd sister to me and she was a fantastic friend.  She is missed so much and even though it's 2 years since she passed, I remember the last 24 hours spent with her as if it was yesterday.  I was just so pleased I could keep the promise I made to her the day she was diagnosed, to be with her through it all, no matter how long it would take, and if it came to it, I would be there holding her hand as she took her last breath.  It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, but I did it, just for Lynn.  It was rough and at times, a really hard 6 years, but I feel so honoured that she chose me to be the one to go through it all with her.  Lynn was one of the strongest, most positive women I've ever known, and I will always have so much admiration for her.

This picture was taken on a girly weekend trip to Butlins in Skegness, what a great weekend we had, along with a couple of other friends. She'd already had a mastectomy and gone through the chemo and radio therapy, but she could always manage a smile and make people laugh.

Miss you so much Lynn, and it still feels like I've lost my right arm, there's a massive hole in my life now, that no one can or ever will fill.

What I was going to say has already been said, Karen.

No-one can or will fill the hole left by such a good friend as Lynn. Hope you can get through today and that somewhere along the line a smile will occur as you think fondly of happier times

Honey I just saw one of the orbs and it is the largest one right over your heart. One thing for certain there was a lot of love between you and your SIL. You are truly blessed in that.

Thanks for all the lovely comments.
Linda, I noticed the orbs too, but only when I uploaded the photo to here, and yes there was alot of love between myself and Lynn. I went to every appointment and operation with her during her treatment. I actually sat waiting for her to come out of theatre.
