Sheena Stamps

I recently bought some of Sheena Douglass's new stamps and a couple of other goodies that she demo'd on TV,  and have finally had a lovely play with them.  I think I may be slightly addicted to the Rose...... lol, I love it!
Here's what I've been doing.....
First of all, a couple of tags.
I've been messing with inks lately and this is a tag I sprayed with Dylusions ink, and splashed with water to create the white dots.  I then stamped the rose with Versafine then I went over that with gilding paste which I then dragged in a little with a damp paintbrush, this creates an embroidery look. Once it was clear, it stays sticky for a long time, I went over it all with foil.   This technique is called  Brush Embroidery, which I used to do when I made wedding cakes, so it was nice to try it again.  I also used the liquid gilding paste around the edges, applied with a sponge, and added foil to that too, it gives a lovely distressed look and very subtle.  I finished off stamping and heat embossing the sentiment.
For this one, I went looking in my file of backgrounds and came across this one which was made with Brushos.  All I did was stamp the rose onto it then cut it out.  I cut a tag from Kraft Card and attached ripped pieces of a book page, finished off with some Distress Ink around the edges and added the word.
I stamped onto water colour card for this one, and used water colour paints to add the colour.  Then blended some Distress Ink around the image and added the stamping with another stamp by Sheena.
Last one.......  This was another background I found in my file, which was made with Brushos and blown around a bit using the Tim Holtz air spritzer.  I stamped and heat embossed the rose, then used Brushos to add the colour.  I added water, a section at a time, then sprinkled Brushos onto the wet and let it do it's thing, just easing colour into the little crooks and crannies with a paintbrush.
Thanks for looking.

A Couple of Tags..........

These stamps are by Sheena Douglass and I used Spectrum Noir Blending Pencils to add the colour.  For the tag, I blended 2 Distress Inks - Chipped Sapphire and Tumbled Glass.  I then splashed water over it and dabbed it off to give the white spots, I love doing that..... lol.  I then used a script stamp from a Tim Holtz set and at the bottom I inked through one of Sheenas stencils.

The stamps used on this one are also by Sheena Douglass.  I cut the skull and hat from the matching dies, stamped the skull and hat in Adirondack Sunset Orange.  Then I blended 2 Adirondack ink, Sunset Orange and Citrus over the skull.  I then ran it through and embossing folder and added some gilding wax to the raised parts.  I used a wet paintbrush to pull in some of the stamped ink for the hat.  The flowers were coloured with the Citrus ink and cut out.  For the background I blended the same inks and stamped over with more Sheena stamps.
Thanks for looking.

That's Crafty Challenge (22.1.16)

The challenge over at That's Crafty this week is 'Winter But Not Christmas', so I thought I'd make a tag rather than a card, just for a change after making so many Christmas cards.
I went for wintery colours with some snowflakes.  I used stencils for all of this tag apart from the sentiment which is by StampRite.   I used Distress inks in Dusty Concord and tumbled Glass, and used black Versafine for the trees.
Thanks for looking.

Halloween Tag

I'm entering this tag into the present challenge over at Fantasy Stampers where the theme is 'Fright Night'.

I coloured the background again with 2 Distress Inks, Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire and Spiced Marmalade for the pumpkin, and a promarker for the toadstools.  All stamps are from Chocolate Baroque.

Thanks for looking xx

Halloween Tags

I don't send Halloween cards, but I do like Halloween, so thought I'd make some tags.
I used 2 Distress Inks for the background, Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint, which I also used to colour Crazy Bird along with Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade.  All other stamps are from Chocolate Baroque.  I now have the dies to match the Crazy Bird stamps which makes things so much easier when you want them cut out..... lol.

I'm entering this tag into the present challenge over at Fantasy Stampers where the theme is 'Fright Night'.

Thanks for looking!

A bit of the Retiform technique....

...... and Visible Image.... lol.  Well I got new stamps for my online shop, Opal Crafts and needed some samples, so it would be rude not to have a play wouldn't it..... lol.
I used Adirondack inks in Pink Sherbet and Purple Twilight for this one.  Once the blending was done, I stamped with the Crackled Background and Bronte Border with the same inks.  I then stamped the, Behind Every Mask stamps, in Versafine and heat embossed with black embossing powder, mounted it onto a black tag to finish.

Visible Image & Brushos

Today I thought I'd use us some tester sheets I had from when I used Brushos for the first time, you know, just testing out the colours and effects..... lol.  These were on watercolour card so didn't stamp and emboss to good, but they're not bad.

All stamps used are from Visible Image, the top one used stamps from the Revolution set, the bottom one is Inkognito Woman, just love these stamps, sentiment is from the 'Be Happy Set' and I used the 'Crackled Backgound' stamps round the edges.

Tim Holtz Tags of 2015 and Visible Image

I know I'm late joining in this with my first tag, for Tags of 2015 but I'm going to go back and do the 3 I've missed for this year...... lol.

The stamps are from Visible Image and I cut 'beautiful' on my cameo as I don't have any word dies.  I used Distress Ink markers to colour the images.

I'd like to enter this into the present challenge over at Artistic Stamper where the theme is Flora & Fauna.

Brusho Tags

When I was playing with the Brushos at first, I used some small tags, here's 2 that I stamped and stenciled on.

No idea which colours I used here, was too happy sprinkling and spraying..... lol.  I used a stencil for the image by Crafters Workshop and it's called Mini Urban Landscape.  I inked through the stencil with Black Soot Distress Ink, the NYC was stamped with alphabet stamps from my Aunty's.

First I stamped with clear embossing powder onto the white tag, heat embossed it, then sprinkled black Brusho on the bottom half, love how it resists the embossing.  The birds were simply stamped with black Versafine.  All stamps are from Inkylicious.
