Susan's flower cutting dies are the best I've ever used, lovely to work with, and they produce the most realistic looking paper flowers ever, and she always makes a video for each die, showing us how to use the dies to create fabulous flowers. They will be on Spellbinders channel on Youtube, and also on Susan's Facebook page 'Susan's Garden Club'. Susan's videos are very detailed ensuring everyone is able to create the flowers. She also includes new card styles. What more could we want, apart from having a one to one class with Susan..... If you love to make flowers, you really need to give Susan's page a visit.
Anyway, on with my first card from this new release.......
All flowers and foliage were cut from white card, then coloured with Distress Inks, applied with finger daubers, shades used are Spiced Marmalade for the centres and Fossilised Amber blended for the tips of the petals. For the tiny pieces that make up the very centre, I coloured with a Promaker in Tulip Yellow and once assembled I added tiny spots of glue and sprinked 'pollen' onto them.
For the foliage I used another new die set, Woodland Leaves (love these), coloured with Forest Moss Distress Ink. I used Picket Fence Distress Ink for the eucaluptus leaves, which were cut from pail green cardstock.
The berry branches were cut from brown cardstock then Nuvo drops added for the berries.
The sentiment is a stamp from Susans new stamp set and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.
The coloured panel was made using the same shades of inks.
I also added Glossy Accents to the ladybird.
Moda Scrap, Happy Frames dies were used for the frame.
